Elizabeth Banks;Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (Getty Images) Thursday, the 2009 Cannes Film Festival kicked off in Cannes, France, much to the delight of film and fashion followers everywhere. Expect to see decadent and daring couture from these red carpets - and tons of glitter.
Disney's next big hope, Up, premiered today, bringing out a bevy of beauties in its favor. 
Indian superstar Aishwarya Rai is always pristinely elegant. She dazzled in an ice-white strapless tiered gown with a train. It does look a bit tight though - she's in a total Beyoncé "I Can't Breathe" pose.
