Porn Star in Senate Run Getting Closer

Porn star Stormy Daniels says she's formed a committee to explore a possible run for the U.S. Senate seat held by Louisiana Republican David Vitter and will begin raising money for a potential campaign.
Daniels said in a news release Thursday she will soon visit western and northern Louisiana to hear from voters, after recent trips to Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
Daniels, who hasn't chosen a party affiliation, says she is seriously considering the race as the result of a draft movement. She insists she is not simply seeking publicity or attempting to embarrass Vitter, whose family values reputation was marred in 2007 when he was linked to a Washington escort service.
